Thank you to everyone who has supported, donated, attended shows, and interacted with Shrunken Shakespeare Company over the last 10 years. It has been an honor to serve our community, build lasting relationships, create art, and share in the glory that is the NYC theater scene.
When we started SSC in 2012, we never could have imagined all the wonderful spaces we would work in or the incredible array of people who have performed, written, directed, and designed with us.
And now, with a new name, new mission, new collaborators, and new company structure, we are proud to bring you a theater & film company that places democracy, transparency, accessibility, collaboration, and equity front and center.
Led by 4 committees, THEE is a non-hierarchical ensemble where every member holds the title of 'co-creator'. Our artists are spread out across the U.S. in the hopes of finding a unique artistic and humanistic thread that connects us all. We can't wait to share what's coming up next!
THEE (The Hey Ensemble) is subversive theater & film. We develop original works that interrogate the trends of power, culture, wealth, and influence in America - as it is, was, and will be. For thee and me.
THEE is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization
Be utterly transparent in our funding, casting, hiring, collaboration, education, contract, and development practices.
Create environments that are pro-equality, pro-gender expression, pro-disability, and pro-complete collaboration.
Make our offerings accessible and affordable for our viewers.
Continually evolve our values and be held accountable by one another and the community for our f*ck ups.
